In collaboration with Topsail High School, the Topsail High School
Music Boosters are hosting their second annual Meaghan Clark Memorial
Road Race on 11/
10/2012 in support of the THS Music Programs, School
Clubs, and the Meaghan Clark Memorial Scholarship.
The Music Boosters provide financial assistance for the THS Music
Programs including Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Jazz Band, Chorus,
and Winter Drum Line and Color Guard.  These ensembles consistently
rank high and achieve top standings in competitions annually in both state
and national events.
    Upon its inception
in 2010, the Meaghan Clark Memorial Scholarship
has awarded $
4,250 in scholarships to graduating seniors from the
music program at THS.
Our 5K Road Race and 2-mile Fun Run/Walk are in memory of a
former THS student, Meaghan Clark, whose passion for music touched
all around her.
Meaghan was a Marching Pirate in the marching band, an active
member of the winter drum line and color guard Perception, and a
member of Symphonic Band.  Along with her personality and musical
talent, Meaghan was academically gifted, pursuing nomination for NC
Governor’s school.  She planned to attend NC State University where
she could pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian.
Meaghan’s zest for life touched all those who knew her.  Her spirit
continues to reach out through her scholarship fund.
